It is very special, and I thank you very much!" --JW More Testimonials | My life is centered around my community of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico, where I have lived all my my life. I proudly participate in all aspects of Jemez Life; for instance, I plant corn, sing Jemez songs, and dance Jemez Dances. Our elders always tell us to participate in Jemez traditions; to give thanks every day, to the Sun, the Rain, the Clouds, the Animals, our Ancestors, and the Spirit Fathers. That is what makes me Jemez, and I am proud that I am from a place that still continues our ancient ways of life. Ælu'æki (translates to "Young Elk"-- Æ and æ are the same sound as the "a" in "sat") is my Jemez name. My logo is one continuous line that creates the outline of a coyote and ends with a lightning bolt. |
